Becoming a Member of the Institute for Optical Science
Membership in the Institute for Optical Science (IOS) is intended for Ohio State University and regional researchers, faculty, and research professionals whose work is related to the optical sciences.
Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis with the approval of the IOS Director.
Are you interested in coming a member of IOS? It's an easy 3 step process:
- Send the following to Matt Boersma (boersma.11@osu.edu) and Jessi Foley (Middleton) at middleton.85@osu.edu:
- Your CV
- A paragraph of your research interest and how it relates to the optical sciences
- Your request will be reviewed by our Executive Committee.
- We will inform you of their decision within 3 weeks.
(There are no membership fees.)
We encourage PostDocs, Graduate, and Undergraduate students to connect with us by attending Optica events and joining the Optica Student Chapter.
