Building the Optics Community Across Ohio and Indiana
A new opportunity has emerged for optics and photonics professionals across the Midwest with the launch of the Ohio-Indiana Optica Local Section. Bringing together academia, industry, and government partners, the section will focus on professional development, networking, and community outreach to strengthen the regional optics ecosystem.
The section has strong ties to the Institute for Optical Science. Mike Chini, IOS Deputy Director, serves as Outreach Chair, and Alex von Hoegen, an IOS member, is among the section's leadership team.
Students, researchers, and industry professionals throughout Ohio and Indiana are encouraged to get involved and help grow a vibrant regional network for the optics and photonics community.
What is the Institute for Optical Science?
